THE BOOK

Breath: Do we ever think about it?
Death: Are we ever prepared for it?
Right after his thirty-eighth birthday, Ansar received a belated surprise gift – news that he only had a few more years to live. Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a fatal lung disease that typically hits people in their 60s, had discovered its latest prey. The universe sure has a strange way of making its presence felt.
In this emotionally charged memoir, Ansar details the series of events that kicked off with his diagnosis in January 2018 right through to the end of the year. An eclectic collection of chapters and poems that will make you laugh, cry, wonder and reflect – about life, death, and everything in between.
“Who Took My Breath Away?” is his story. One of unprecedented pain, undeterred faith and unconditional love. Above all, of unabated hope.
Did he survive or did he succumb?
Well, here he is, with a story to tell.
